My research primarily centers on agricultural finance and economics, with a particular emphasis on agri-food value chains and the associated environmental implications. I also delve into information processing, big data, and machine learning. Additionally, my interests extend to international and development economics.
Prior to my role at the University of Wisconsin, I served as a faculty research associate at Cornell University within the Department of Applied Economics and Management. My responsibilities spanned research, extension, and teaching, with a focus on agricultural finance, risk management, food system sustainability, machine learning, and policy analysis. Earlier in my career, I served as a research assistant at the Agricultural Food and Policy Center at Texas A&M University.
